Weekly Update

May 28, 2017

Dear Ram families,

I’ll begin with a congratulatory message to 6th Grade Olympic champions, Team Scotland. Mrs. Mills’s students regained their gold medal status after losing it to Mrs. Matautia’s class last year. A fun time was had by all. Thank you to the many parents and volunteers who made this event possible.

As we wind down the 2016-17 school year I want to remind you that there is no school tomorrow in celebration of Memorial Day. Although it’s unofficially the start of summer it was created as a day to honor all the men and women who died while serving in the United States military. On behalf of all of us at Twin Peaks, I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of you who have faithfully served our country and ensured our freedom.

We have several year-end celebrations planned on campus this week. CJSF has their ice cream party on Tuesday. There is also a band concert in the quad from 6-7pm on Tuesday. On Wednesday, AVID celebrates the end of the year with a picnic in the 6th grade park. On Thursday the celebrations continue with an English Language Learner Party and an Art Show in Room 407 throughout the day and after school. Parents, please check with your students for more information about these events.

The library is now closed for student use before, during, and after school except for textbook and library book return. All books must be returned before the last day of school. Students are responsible for any loss or damage to their textbooks. Students can check their library account by selecting the Destiny Library Catalog Icon in their MyPlan account. The login is the same as their other logins.

That’s it for now. I look forward to seeing you all on Tuesday; and remember, it’s a 4/6/2 day.
