Weekly Update

May 14, 2017

Dear Ram families,

Happy Mother’s Day to all our Moms! I hope you enjoyed your special day. If you would like an extra night off from cooking consider supporting the PTSA’s year-end fundraiser and join us at California Pizza Kitchen tomorrow night. Follow the link to RSVP or you can also participate without an RSVP. Just eat in or carry out tomorrow and when you order, let them know you are participating with Twin Peaks PTSA.

I want to thank those of you who contributed to our Staff Appreciation Week. You really went above and beyond this year. Thank you for making the week a huge success. We all felt loved and appreciated!

Headed into the final month of school, campus is buzzing with activity. Tuesday night our Spring Orchestra Concert takes place from 6-8pm at the Poway Center for Performing Arts. Our Totally Incredible People (TIP) Picnic is this Wednesday at lunch in the MPR. Students who received a TIP sticker in any of the first 3 quarters come celebrate your success. On Thursday at 7:30 we have our Character Counts Breakfast in the MPR. If you were nominated at any time during the school year for having displayed one of our 6 pillars of character you’re invited.

Attention 8th grade families - Tomorrow is the last day to purchase tickets for the Harbor Cruise. Cash or checks are accepted and checks should be made out to TPMS. You must have no U’s for the 3rd quarter and no library fines, along with a signed permission slip (available on the TPMS home page) to buy your ticket. Don’t be stuck on land and miss out on this adventure with your classmates! Also, with promotion right around the corner, parents, you may want to consider purchasing Poway High gear. It’s available in the PHS Finance Office.

I will close with a final reminder about our Read-a-Thon. The donation window closes at midnight tonight. Thanks to those of you who have already contributed. For those who haven’t, please consider making a donation of any amount. We are so close to our goal; I am confident we can reach it with just a few more pledges. Here’s the link:

That’s it for now. I look forward to seeing you all tomorrow; and remember, it’s a 6/2/4 day.
